Iquitos airport is oficially called Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport (quite a long name, eh?) and it’s IATA code is IQT.

Iquitos airport is very small by international standards. When you arrive there is only one common room with one baggage carousel (the device that keeps your checked luggage spinning until you pick it up).

After you pick up your luggage there is a door for going out, into the airport parking lot. In that place, you will find many taxi drivers and people with signs looking for the passengers that just arrive. If you coordinated with us beforehand (and gave us your flight details) we will be there waiting for you.

We are gonna be waiting for you at the airport based on the information you gave us about your scheduled flights. We will be holding a sign with your name on it so you can easily recognize us.

We are going to be waiting for you just outside the door you cross when leaving the room where you pick up your luggage.

Iquitos airport, officially known as Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport, is located approximately 9 kilometers from the main square (Plaza de Armas) in the city center, where most of the tourism spots (hotels, restaurants, etc) are located.

It takes around 20 to 30 minutes from our office (one block away from the main square) to Iquitos airport, depending on traffic.
